Speech Language Pathologists PRN

We are seeking multiple, dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologists to join our team. In this role, you will work with adults/geriatrics in their home and/or pediatrics in our outpatient setting, to assess and treat speech, language, cognitive, voice and swallowing disorders. Your expertise will help enhance the quality of life for patients by improving their communication skills and overall well-being. You tell us what areas you would like to work in and then you can accept/decline patients based on your availability. Work as little or as much per week as you would like!

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify speech and language disorders.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Implement evidence-based speech therapy techniques to facilitate patient progress.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to support patient development.
  • Provide intervention services for adults with communication, cognitive and/or swallowing deficits.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families on communication strategies and techniques.
  • Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in speech-language pathology.

Skills
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech and language.
  • Proficient in medical terminology relevant to speech therapy practices.
  • Experience in geriatrics, previous home health experience is a bonus but not required.
  • Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments effectively.
  • Familiarity with dysphagia intervention strategies and management.
  • Excellent patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications
  • Required qualifications include a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • ASHA certification is preferred
  • Experience in adult home health settings is a plus
  • Strong understanding of dysphagia management
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize patient care effectively

Speech Language Pathologists

Responsibilities
  • Provide pediatric speech and language therapy services to patients in outpatient, and preschool settings.
  • Assess and diagnose communication disorders and swallowing difficulties.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' specific needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate patients and their families on communication strategies and techniques.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. Requirements
Skills
  • Valid state license or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience or interest in working with feeding and orofacial myofunctional disorders preferred - training available.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
  • Strong clinical skills in the areas of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
